His own face doesn't betray too much, at a glance, but there's a rare openness about it. If only very briefly. He nods, and even though the words may be foreign to Bilbo, and spoken quietly, there is an unmistakable warmth to them that goes beyond even their literal meaning, which is a formal, even polite response. ]
